A Fond Farewell

Today is a melancholy day for Antique Erotic, as I find it’s time to bid a fond farewell to my collection here.
My dear readers, I know I haven’t been actively posting of late – indeed it’s been so very long that some of you may’ve forgotten you even followed in the first place – but life rather shook me off my feet a while and I had to set my blog aside, and then of course the longer I left it at rest, the harder it was to summon up the energy to begin again. 
I always thought that I’d come back to it one day. It was here, waiting safe, and appreciated by all those who still stumbled across it. I had more photographs to post, and no less love for my subject.
But today’s announcement that Tumblr will no longer allow adult content effectively means the end for this blog. Some of the photographs are already gone from display, my archive looks depleted, the majority are sure to follow as we approach the 17th of December deadline for the new no-nudity policy.

It barely needs saying that It’s with a very heavy heart I make this announcement. It’s been a joy sharing these beautiful photographs with you over the years, and I’m truly grateful for all your interest, the kind words from those who’ve reached out, the help in identifying models and translating annotations. In the last few days, we very nearly reached an astonishing 30.000 followers, as this little project grew and grew into something bigger than I ever could’ve imagined possible.

I have carefully saved every one of the 1,536 photographs posted here, in order, along with their captions. And maybe it’s not quite the end for Antique Erotic – perhaps one day I’ll be back, in some other format, some other site, and you’ll find me again.
It’s been a pleasure.
